Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Getting rid of an unwanted boat in Sunny Slopes is a process that needs to be done by a professional crew. Storm-damaged boats are often unstable, partially submerged, or leaking fuel. Only trained professionals with the right equipment can safely haul and dispose of them without causing more property or environmental damage. Local laws, transport logistics, and disposal steps — especially on routes like Crowley Lake Drive — often add time to the job.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Disposing of an old boat in Sunny Slopes, near Twin Lakes, isn't as simple as it sounds. Permits may be required for towing or dismantling certain boats. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Large boats often need to be destroyed before a landfill will take them. The AAA Rousse team will take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around this stretch of the Eastern Sierra often starts at Crowley Lake, where aging motorboats and pontoons are pulled from deteriorating docks or sandy shorelines after seasons of neglect. Grant Lake Marina sees similar calls when stored hulls are abandoned mid season. Ice damage, sun degradation, and cracked fiberglass are the most common reasons owners finally call for a full haul out and disposal.
Further into the mountains, removals from Twin Lakes and Lake Mary involve trailers too corroded to roll, making crane assisted extractions necessary. Sunny Slopes sits at high elevation, so access roads narrow quickly and crews must plan carefully for oversized loads. Whether a vessel sank at a launch ramp or has been rusting in a storage yard off Crowley Lake Drive, our team coordinates permits and transport from first call to final disposal.
