Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The process of getting rid of a junk boat in Weldon near French Gulch Marina is often more challenging than it first appears. Boats partially sunk are extremely difficult to lift, float, and tow. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Larger vessels often require demolition or crushing before they can be disposed of at a landfill. We take care of this step for you, making the entire removal and disposal process smooth and stress-free. AAA Rousse - we do it all, so you don’t have to.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removals in Weldon most often begin at the north end of the reservoir, where trailered vessels are pulled from the water at Tillie Creek Boat Ramp after a season of fishing or recreation. Owners dealing with non running engines or damaged hulls frequently call for a flatbed pickup rather than attempting to trailer the boat themselves along Mountain Mesa Road back toward the valley.
Boats stored long term in the Weldon area sometimes sit in yards near Old Highway 178, collecting dry rot and rodent damage before owners finally schedule removal. In those cases our crew loads the vessel directly from the property without requiring a functional trailer or running engine, then transports it out of Kern County for recycling or disposal at a licensed facility.
