Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Moodus residents often discover that old boat disposal near East Haddam Landing is anything but simple. Fiberglass disposal is challenging and limited in facilities. Our crews dismantle masts, clear the boat of gear and electronics, and remove the flybridge if required. Most large boats need to be crushed or dismantled before a landfill will accept them. We’ve got it covered - let AAA Rousse take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In Moodus, many boat removals begin at Moodus River, where owners keep vessels on trailers or moored along the banks through the warmer months. When the season ends or a boat sells, our crew retrieves watercraft from launches and private lots near Route 151, navigating the rural road network to load and haul boats safely without damage to surrounding property or vegetation.
Pond Meadow Park provides another common pickup point, as local boaters store small watercraft near its shoreline access during summer. Haul outs along the Connecticut River corridor also bring removal requests from owners who trailered boats from inland spots. Whether the craft is a jon boat or a larger fiberglass vessel, we coordinate transport and ensure clean, efficient removal from any Lower Connecticut River Valley Planning Region waterfront site.
