Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Getting rid of an unwanted boat in Naples — especially storm hulls around Wiggins Pass — is a process that needs to be done by a professional crew. Storm-damaged boats — the ones wedged against Moorings seawalls — are often unstable, partially submerged, or leaking fuel. Only trained professionals with the right equipment can safely haul and dispose of them without causing more property or environmental damage. Local laws, transport logistics, and disposal steps often add time to the job.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Disposing of an old boat in Naples isn’t as simple as it sounds. Permits may be required for towing or dismantling certain boats. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Large boats often need to be destroyed before a landfill will take them. The AAA Rousse team will take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal in Naples most often begins along the Naples Bay waterfront, where owners haul vessels from private lifts, seawalls, and docks throughout the Aqualane Shores neighborhood. Crews navigate the bay carefully before trailering boats on US 41, the main artery connecting waterfront areas to inland storage. Seasonal ownership changes and storm prep drive the majority of these calls.
Removals on the Gulf side frequently involve boats stored near Clam Pass or trailered out via Vanderbilt Drive after a day on the water. Owners decommissioning older vessels sometimes coordinate pickup from the Cocohatchee River boat launch area on the north end of town. Whether the job involves a small skiff or a large cabin cruiser, our team handles the logistics from water to transport.
