Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The reality is that boat removal is often much tougher than it seems for Oconee area residents hauling off Ogeechee Road. Some older vessels often contain asbestos insulation. Our Teams take off the masts, clear out the boat’s gear and electronics and cut off the flybridge if needed. Larger boats usually need to be crushed or demolished before a landfill will take them - and our team takes care of that process. You just sit back - AAA Rousse takes care of the rest.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal calls in this area often begin at the Shoulderbone Tract, where trailered vessels are left for seasons and become impossible to move without professional help. Lake Oconee draws anglers and recreational boaters whose craft sometimes sink or become abandoned near the shoreline. Flooding along Little River also pushes waterlogged hulls onto private property, creating urgent removal situations for landowners.
Lake Sinclair sees a steady number of deteriorated pontoons and jon boats that owners can no longer register or sell, leading to calls for full disposal. Near Sinclair Dam, storm debris and neglected vessels occasionally lodge against structures and require crane assisted extraction. The Georgia Power boat ramp areas also see abandoned trailers and hulls left behind after failed attempts at self haul removal.
