Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
You might think it’s easy, but removing a boat in Sunset Village can be tricky. Limited disposal sites, like those serving High Falls Lake, are always a problem. Our crew dismantles the mast, removes all equipment and electronics from the vessel, and, if necessary, detaches the fly bridge. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels in one piece, some prep work is required. We manage the entire process for you, so your boat is ready for disposal without any hassle. Boat removal made simple.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal needs around here often stem from vessels left along the Flint River after flooding seasons or years of low use. Owners pulling out of Sprewell Bluff State Park launch areas frequently discover their hulls are no longer river worthy. Deteriorated fiberglass, cracked hulls, and seized engines make trailering unsafe, and the remote terrain adds to the logistical challenge of a clean extraction.
Inland storage situations are equally common, with aging pontoons and jon boats sitting on private land near Potato Creek for years without registration renewal. Some owners inherit vessels they never intended to keep, while others simply run out of room or resources to maintain aging equipment. Our crews step in to handle dismantling, transport, and eco conscious disposal so owners can close the chapter cleanly.
