Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Getting rid of a boat in Bardolph that's seen better days — pulled from the Lamoine River — can be a real struggle. Unstable boat hulls create safety hazards during transport. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle that step carefully, making sure it’s done the right way for both you and the environment. Let AAA Rousse professionals handle it all.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Argyle Lake draws steady recreational boating traffic, and aging or storm damaged vessels are regularly left at the Argyle Lake State Park boat launch or along Crooked Creek with nowhere to go. Owners in the area often discover their pontoons and motorboats have deteriorated beyond use after a hard winter, making professional removal the only practical path forward.
Spring Lake sees similar abandonment situations, where waterlogged hulls must be hauled from soft shorelines before they become environmental hazards. Boats stored off season at the McDonough County fairgrounds storage area also turn into removal jobs when owners move away or titles lapse, and the Lamoine River corridor occasionally surfaces derelict craft that require coordinated extraction and certified disposal.
