Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Getting rid of a boat in Braidwood off Reed Road that's seen better days can be a real struggle. Unstable boat hulls create safety hazards during transport. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle that step carefully, making sure it’s done the right way for both you and the environment. Let AAA Rousse professionals handle it all.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal in Braidwood most often begins at the Braidwood Operations Center cooling lake area, where anglers who have launched along the Mazon River corridor need to retrieve vessels at the end of the season. Trailers are staged along Route 113, and crews coordinate pickups for boats stored near the riverbank after a full summer of recreational use on the Mazon.
Winter storage pulls are also common for boats kept near the Dresden Heights neighborhood, where residents keep vessels in driveways or on lifts. Owners along the Mazon River often schedule removal before freeze up, ensuring boats reach inland storage before ice sets in. Our team handles everything from loading to transport, making the process smooth regardless of where the boat is sitting in Grundy County.
