Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat

Safe and reliable boat removal in Crescent City depends on our skilled crews with the right tools. Deteriorated boats with sharp edges, mold, or unstable structures can cause serious injuries near waterways like Sugar Creek. Marine professionals use proper tools and lifting methods to remove them safely. Crescent City and Illinois regulatory requirements, towing issues, and disposal steps often delay schedules.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal

What seems like a quick fix, getting rid of an old boat in Crescent City, can become complicated. There is always a risk of spills into waterways like Beaver Lake or streets from fuel while transporting. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels as-is, we handle the crushing or demolition when needed. Let us do the heavy lifting - AAA Rousse has it handled.

Common Boat Removal Scenarios

Boat removal along the Iroquois River is among the most common calls we receive in this area. Vessels left idle at the Iroquois River boat launch or beached along its muddy banks often become waterlogged and structurally unsound over harsh Illinois winters. Owners dealing with sunken or storm damaged hulls rely on our crews to safely extract and haul those boats before they become an environmental hazard.

Landlocked storage situations are equally frequent, with boats abandoned in rural yards and farm lots throughout Iroquois County. Pontoons and fishing boats left near Beaver Lake access points sometimes deteriorate to the point where trailers are no longer viable for transport. In those cases our team brings specialized lifting equipment to break down the vessel on site and remove it in sections without damaging surrounding property.

Prompt, came out same day within a few hours of calling them. They were very careful while moving the junk. Friendly. Takes all forms of payment. I plan on calling them again. Mark and Christina came the next trip to remove more junk. They were very professional, quick, worked hard, and even swept the mess left from the junk on the garage floor.

This company is excellent! Removing this old 18 ft motor home was not an easy task. It had been sitting in the same spot for 26 years so needless to say it was literally falling apart and imbedded in the ground. The 2 men who removed it were so patient and professional taking care not to tear up the yard while doing so, not to mention it was one of our hottest days. They deserve 10 stars or more in my book!

The team did a wonderful job clearing out 2 of our office suites. Both suites contained about 40+ cubicles, 11 executives offices, at 3 conference rooms. It took about a week to get everything out of there but they were fair and always updated me throughout the day. They also sent pictures to make sure I knew they were filling the trailer up (they charge by the load).
