Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Parting with an old boat in Darmstadt near the Kaskaskia River isn't always a simple task. EPA guidelines for fuel, oil, and hazardous waste must be followed. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Most larger vessels cannot be accepted at landfills unless they are crushed or demolished. Let our AAA Rousse experts handle the entire process.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boats along the Kaskaskia River are among the most common removal calls near this area, often left stranded after flooding or engine failure. Baldwin Lake also generates steady work, with neglected pontoons and aluminum fishing boats sitting idle for seasons. The New Athens Boat Launch sees occasional abandoned trailers and waterlogged hulls that owners can no longer move on their own.
Carlyle Lake draws heavy recreational traffic and produces frequent end of season removals when owners realize their vessels are no longer seaworthy. Storage yards along Okawville Road hold aging boats whose owners have stopped paying fees, leaving facilities in need of professional haul out help. Storm damage along the Kaskaskia River corridor also results in calls for partial salvage and responsible disposal of wrecked hulls.
