Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Hickory residents near Bay Creek often discover that old boat disposal is anything but simple. Fiberglass disposal is challenging and limited in facilities. Our crews dismantle masts, clear the boat of gear and electronics, and remove the flybridge if required. Most large boats need to be crushed or dismantled before a landfill will accept them. We’ve got it covered - let AAA Rousse take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In and around Hickory, many boat removal calls come from owners whose vessels have sat unused near Schuyler Lake or along the Illinois River for years. Neglected hulls left at waterfront properties become code violations, and owners need fast, documented removal. Storm damage along the La Moine River also pushes boats into unusable condition, making professional extraction the only practical path forward.
Abandoned boats recovered from Langellier Reservoir or stranded along Bay Creek often require equipment and rigging that go well beyond a standard tow. Owners who stored vessels near the Schuyler County Boat Launch and stopped returning find themselves facing disposal fees and liability paperwork. Our team handles every stage, from water extraction to title transfer and eco conscious dismantling, so owners can close the chapter cleanly.
