Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Old boat disposal in Mount Auburn often proves frustrating. There is usually limited access to docks or Lake Fork marinas for removal equipment. Our AAA Rousse marine team handles mast removal, gear and electronics stripping, and flybridge cutting when required. Most landfills won’t accept larger vessels in one piece, which means they need to be crushed or demolished first. Our crews handle the entire process safely and efficiently, so you don’t have to worry about the details. Sit back, AAA Rousse has it covered.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around Mount Auburn most often starts at Lake Fork, where aging pontoons and motorboats sit half sunk along the shallows after seasons of neglect. Owners also call us when vessels are stranded along the Sangamon River following floods or mechanical failure, requiring careful extraction before the hull takes on more damage.
Storage abandonment is another frequent scenario, with trailered hulls left for years in gravel lots off Pana Road until owners finally need the space cleared. Deteriorated fishing boats near the Blue Mound area are also regularly scheduled for removal, especially after estate settlements leave families managing watercraft they have no use for and no way to move.
