Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
What seems like a quick fix, getting rid of an old boat near the Galena Marina in Rice, can become complicated. There is always a risk of spills into waterways or streets from fuel while transporting. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels as-is, we handle the crushing or demolition when needed. Let us do the heavy lifting - AAA Rousse has it handled.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Around Rice and along the Galena River corridor, owners often need removal of waterlogged or abandoned boats that have sat idle for seasons. Vessels left near the Apple River or stored on rural land close to Casper Bluff deteriorate quickly, making safe extraction essential. Flood damage, overgrown storage conditions, and failed engines are the most common reasons locals call for professional haul out help.
Boats that have outlived their use on Lake Galena are frequently surrendered for salvage when repair costs outpace value. Owners launching at Blanding Landing sometimes discover their vessel is too compromised to re register, triggering a full removal request. Low traffic stretches along the Fever River also see periodic abandoned craft that require permitted removal, responsible dismantling, and eco conscious disposal before the waterway is cleared.
