Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Removing an unwanted boat in Vergennes takes a professional crew to do it right. Old boats frequently have rotten wood, rusted parts, or brittle fiberglass. Professional crews know how to dismantle and dispose of them correctly without injury or contamination. Local restrictions, towing logistics along the Big Muddy River corridor, and disposal regulations can slow down boat removal.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Parting with an old boat in Vergennes isn’t always a simple task. EPA guidelines for fuel, oil, and hazardous waste must be followed, even on hauls routed via Murdale Road. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Most larger vessels cannot be accepted at landfills unless they are crushed or demolished. Let our AAA Rousse experts handle the entire process.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Kinkaid Lake draws boaters from across the region and aging vessels left at the Spillway Boat Launch or moored along the Little Muddy River are among the most common removal calls we receive. Owners often discover a hull has deteriorated beyond use, making professional extraction and disposal the only safe path forward.
Boats pulled from the Big Muddy River after flood events frequently arrive at Kinkaid Lake Marina or are staged at a storage yard such as the Jackson County Fairgrounds Storage Yard while awaiting disposal. These storm recovered hulls require careful handling of fuel, hazardous materials, and structural debris before any compliant recycling or scrapping can take place.
