Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
In Newburgh, the process of boat removal can turn out to be unexpectedly difficult. Many marinas or property owners want old boats removed quickly, but the process often takes longer than expected due to weather, time sensitivity, towing restrictions near Kenduskeag Stream, and more. Our crews remove masts, strip the boat of its gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if necessary. Larger vessels can’t go to a landfill unless we crush or demolish them. Let the AAA Rousse do all the work for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal in this area frequently involves vessels left at the public boat launch on Wassookeag Lake or along the shores of Dixon Lake, where seasonal ice and fluctuating water levels accelerate hull deterioration. Owners dealing with sunken or partially flooded boats on these inland waters often need a licensed crew who can manage extraction without damaging the launch area or surrounding shoreline.
Abandoned pontoons and aging motorboats stored near Hopkins Pond or on private lots along the Etna Road corridor are another common removal scenario, where overgrown brush and limited truck access complicate the haul. In Newburgh, estate settlements and property sales frequently surface forgotten boats on trailers in fields or barn lots, requiring dismantling on site before transport can begin.
