Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Removing an old boat in Batavia near the Prairie River often turns out to be more complicated than expected. Boats may contain fuel, oil, and chemicals that must be drained. The AAA Rousse crew will take down the mast, clear off the gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if we have to, to get the job done. The majority of larger vessels are not permitted in landfills unless they undergo crushing or demolition. Trust the AAA Rousse professionals to take care of everything.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Many boat removal calls in this area come from owners with vessels left too long at Duncan Lake or sitting idle along the shores of Lake Lavallette, where seasonal drawdowns expose hulls that have settled into the mud. Owners also reach out after storing boats at Branch County sites through a mild winter only to find structural damage makes them unlaunchable by spring.
Waterfront properties on Morse Lake and Eagle Lake frequently generate removal requests when estates are settled or properties change hands and the inherited vessel is beyond repair. The flat terrain and rural road network around these lakes can complicate trailer access, making professional rigging and load out essential for a safe and clean removal.
