Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Old boat disposal in Summit often proves frustrating. There is usually limited access to docks or marinas for removal equipment, including at the Summit Township Launch. Our AAA Rousse marine team handles mast removal, gear and electronics stripping, and flybridge cutting when required. Most landfills won’t accept larger vessels in one piece, which means they need to be crushed or demolished first. Our crews handle the entire process safely and efficiently, so you don’t have to worry about the details. Sit back, AAA Rousse has it covered.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around Summit Township often starts at the Grand River boat launch off Kibby Road, where aging aluminum fishing boats and waterlogged pontoons are pulled from the shallows. Owners along Vandercook Lake Road also call us when deteriorated vessels sink at private docks, requiring crane work and careful extraction before the hull causes further damage to neighboring property.
Storm damage near the County Farm Park pond and flood events along the Rives Drain leave neglected fiberglass hulls stranded on residential lots each season. Summit crews also respond to storage yard clearances off Cooper Street, where unwanted motorboats and sailboats sit on expired trailers and must be dismantled on site before transport to a certified disposal facility.
