Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
You might think it’s easy, but removing a boat in Gerton can be tricky. Limited disposal sites, including those along the Rocky Broad River, are always a problem. Our crew dismantles the mast, removes all equipment and electronics from the vessel, and, if necessary, detaches the fly bridge. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels in one piece, some prep work is required. We manage the entire process for you, so your boat is ready for disposal without any hassle. Boat removal made simple.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around Gerton often starts with vessels left at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure, where owners find aging hulls listing in coves after seasons of neglect. The rugged terrain along the Hickory Nut Falls trail corridor makes tow routes challenging, and many boats at Morse Park Landing sit too long before owners realize professional extraction is the only practical option.
Further along the gorge, deteriorating pontoons and jon boats are commonly found stored on private hillside lots above the Green River, where steep grades demand specialized rigging to get vessels to a road. Owners near the Cane Creek watershed also call when a flood damaged hull settles into soft riverbank soil, making hand winch recovery and proper Henderson County disposal the safest solution.
