Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The process of getting rid of a junk boat in Speed is often more challenging than it first appears, particularly for vessels recovered near Rocky Mount Mills. Boats partially sunk are extremely difficult to lift, float, and tow. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Larger vessels often require demolition or crushing before they can be disposed of at a landfill. We take care of this step for you, making the entire removal and disposal process smooth and stress-free. AAA Rousse - we do it all, so you don’t have to.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal in this part of Edgecombe County most often begins at the Tar River Access near Princeville, where aging vessels are left half submerged along eroded banks after seasonal flooding. Owners along the Braswell District also call us when pontoons and jonboats sit grounded on mudflats after storms roll through the Coastal Plain, making standard trailer recovery impossible without specialized lift equipment.
A second common scenario involves vessels dry stored behind rural properties off NC 33, where boats on blocks or rotting trailers have not moved in years. We also respond regularly to calls from the Conetoe Creek corridor, where hull deterioration, missing registration, and overgrown lots combine to create disposal challenges that require our full dismantling and eco conscious removal process from start to finish.
