Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Unwanted boats in Rush tend to be more complicated to remove than expected, particularly those left at the Rush hamlet storage yard. Specialized cranes or barges may be required. Our team takes down the mast, removes the boat’s equipment and electronics, and cuts off the flybridge if needed. Since most landfills can’t take larger boats as they are, they need to be crushed or dismantled first. Don’t worry - our team takes care of that for you, making the whole process simple and stress-free. Relax - we’ve got it handled.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boats in Rush most often need removal after seasonal flooding along Black Creek, where rising water pushes vessels off trailers and deposits them on adjacent farmland or under the Genesee Valley Canal Trail corridor. Owners sometimes abandon small aluminum fishing boats at informal access points, leaving them partially submerged in the shallows until Monroe County code enforcement intervenes and schedules a certified removal.
Along Scottsville Road, watercraft left on private lots over multiple winters become a common call for our team, especially after estate sales or property transfers. Boats stored near the Genesee River corridor may also sustain flood damage that renders them unsalvageable, requiring full deconstruction and haul out rather than a simple trailer pickup and transport to a licensed disposal facility.
