Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Unwanted boats in Harbor View near Inland Seas Marina tend to be more complicated to remove than expected. Specialized cranes or barges may be required. Our team takes down the mast, removes the boat’s equipment and electronics, and cuts off the flybridge if needed. Since most landfills can’t take larger boats as they are, they need to be crushed or dismantled first. Don’t worry - our team takes care of that for you, making the whole process simple and stress-free. Relax - we’ve got it handled.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boats in Harbor View are commonly removed after storm damage, registration lapses, or mechanical failure. Vessels left along Crane Creek or drifting toward the Toussaint River become safety hazards and must be retrieved promptly. Owners may arrange licensed salvage towing, or Lucas County authorities can initiate removal if a boat is abandoned and poses an environmental or navigation risk.
Seasonal drawdowns also trigger removals, particularly when watercraft are left on trailers along Cedar Point Road without proper permits. Boats found grounded near Magee Marsh wildlife habitat face expedited removal to protect sensitive shoreline ecosystems. In all cases, owners are encouraged to contact local authorities before abandonment to avoid fines and coordinate a compliant, timely retrieval.
