Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Townsend residents near Sheldon's Marsh are discovering that an old, dilapidated boat past its prime isn't easy to get off their hands. The large size and heavy weight of many boats are definitely a challenge while transporting. Our crews remove masts, strip the boat of its gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if necessary. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels in one piece, we manage the crushing or demolition so you don’t have to worry about it. We handle it all - you just relax.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal in and around Townsend often involves vessels left at the Huron County fairgrounds boat storage lots or abandoned along the banks of the Huron River after flood seasons. Owners dealing with deteriorating hulls on private land near the Berlin Reservoir frequently call for full dismantling and licensed disposal before state agencies step in.
Waterfront properties near Mitiwanga and the shores of Sandusky Bay see regular requests for removing sunken or storm damaged boats that have settled into the shallows. Pontoon boats and aging cabin cruisers left at Erie Island Resort docks are another common scenario, requiring crane assisted extraction and coordinated transport to certified recycling facilities.
