Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat

Proper boat removal in Cheyenne can only be done safely with the right marine team and equipment, especially for vessels recovered from the Canadian River. Inherited boats often come without titles or paperwork. Our boat removers understand how to legally and properly dispose of vessels in these situations. The combination of towing, disposal, and local regulatory issues can cause delays.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal

Disposing of an aging boat in Cheyenne often becomes challenging, particularly for owners off Hammon Road. Lead paint and other toxic materials require special handling. Our crew dismantles the mast, removes all equipment and electronics from the vessel, and, if necessary, detaches the fly bridge. Landfills generally can’t take larger vessels unless they’re first crushed or demolished. Sit back and let the AAA Rousse team handle it all.

Common Boat Removal Scenarios

In Cheyenne, boats are most often abandoned after storm surges push them onto the banks of Otter Creek or leave them stranded on the muddy shores of Dead Indian Lake. Owners sometimes relocate seasonally and leave vessels behind, while others simply lose interest after mechanical failures. Roger Mills County officials coordinate with state agencies to document, tag, and arrange timely removal of these neglected boats.

Along Spring Creek, watercraft occasionally become wedged in shallow bends after seasonal flooding, making recovery efforts difficult without specialized equipment. The Roger Mills boat launch area sees a recurring pattern of trailers left without vessels, signaling potential abandonment. Local authorities work alongside licensed salvage operators to clear these sites quickly, keeping waterways safe and accessible for residents and recreational users throughout the region.

I was cleaning out a family member’s house that bordered on being a hoarder. I called AAA Rousse and they were able to promptly meet my junk hauling needs on two separate occasions. The men providing the service were friendly and professional. They definitely made the process easy.

The family owned company was wonderful! They came in and undertook a very difficult project without complaining and they did it at the price that they quoted to us originally. They were friendly patient hard-working and did a great job! We would not hesitate to call them again and we would recommend them to anyone we know.

This company is excellent! Removing this old 18 ft motor home was not an easy task. It had been sitting in the same spot for 26 years so needless to say it was literally falling apart and imbedded in the ground. The 2 men who removed it were so patient and professional taking care not to tear up the yard while doing so, not to mention it was one of our hottest days. They deserve 10 stars or more in my book!
