Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
You might think it's easy, but removing a boat in Coronaca from a ramp like Melrose Landing can be tricky. Limited disposal sites are always a problem. Our crew dismantles the mast, removes all equipment and electronics from the vessel, and, if necessary, detaches the fly bridge. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels in one piece, some prep work is required. We manage the entire process for you, so your boat is ready for disposal without any hassle. Boat removal made simple.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal needs in Coronaca often arise after seasonal drawdowns near Lake Greenwood Dam, where falling water levels can leave vessels stranded along shallow coves off Savannah Valley Road. Owners sometimes abandon watercraft at informal put in spots when motors fail or registrations lapse, creating safety hazards and requiring Greenwood County coordinators to arrange licensed haulers for prompt recovery and disposal.
Storm debris and flooding along the Saluda River corridor can push unregistered boats onto private shorelines far from their original moorings, complicating ownership tracing. Derelict vessels discovered near access points used by anglers heading toward Dreher Island are flagged for removal through the state program, with salvageable hulls redirected to certified recyclers and unsalvageable ones processed at approved disposal facilities.
