Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Old boat disposal in Pimlico often proves frustrating. There is usually limited access to docks or marinas like Mepkin Abbey Landing for removal equipment. Our AAA Rousse marine team handles mast removal, gear and electronics stripping, and flybridge cutting when required. Most landfills won’t accept larger vessels in one piece, which means they need to be crushed or demolished first. Our crews handle the entire process safely and efficiently, so you don’t have to worry about the details. Sit back, AAA Rousse has it covered.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around the Berkeley County shoreline often begins with vessels abandoned along the Lake Moultrie shoreline after storms push them into shallow coves or onto private banks. Owners also call us when sunken or half submerged boats become hazards near the Pinopolis Dam spillway area, where currents make recovery especially difficult without the right equipment and permits.
Deteriorated pontoons and jon boats left at low water boat ramps along the Santee Canal Recreational Area create access problems for other users and bring municipal citations. Hulls sitting on trailers in back lots near Cypress Gardens Road are another frequent call, as owners discover their vessels are too far gone to sell and simply need fast, compliant disposal handled from start to finish.
