Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Common removal scenarios in Pleasant View often begin when a vessel is found drifting or submerged along the Harpeth River after seasonal flooding. Owners who stored boats on private land near Lock A Boat Ramp sometimes abandon them when registration lapses or storm damage makes repairs too costly. Cheatham County initiates the title transfer process once proper notices have been posted and waiting periods have passed.
Other cases involve watercraft left unattended along Marrowbone Creek, where shallow conditions strand boats that were never recovered after high water events. Vehicles and trailers occasionally remain along Jones Creek Road well after a vessel has already been removed, requiring a separate tow order. In both situations, documented abandonment and a clear chain of notification are essential before any boat can be lawfully transferred or scrapped.
