Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Parting with an old boat in Blessing near Mad Island Marsh isn't always a simple task. EPA guidelines for fuel, oil, and hazardous waste must be followed. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Most larger vessels cannot be accepted at landfills unless they are crushed or demolished. Let our AAA Rousse experts handle the entire process.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal in this stretch of Matagorda County often starts with vessels left behind after storms roll through Matagorda Bay, battering hulls against the shoreline near Oyster Lake. Owners sometimes discover their crafts sunk or grounded along the Tres Palacios Creek drainage, where soft banks make conventional trailer retrieval impossible. Our crews are equipped to handle those recoveries without further damaging the surrounding wetlands.
Abandoned vessels also turn up at the Magnolia Beach area boat launch and along the canal edges feeding into Lavaca Bay, where neglected pontoons and fishing skiffs quietly deteriorate over seasons. Titles lapse, registrations expire, and the state flags the owner. AAA Rousse steps in to provide a signed liability release, complete the haul, and ensure every component from fuel tanks to electronics is disposed of in full compliance with EPA guidelines.
