Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Ashley residents near Crooked Creek often discover that old boat disposal is anything but simple. Fiberglass disposal is challenging and limited in facilities. Our crews dismantle masts, clear the boat of gear and electronics, and remove the flybridge if required. Most large boats need to be crushed or dismantled before a landfill will accept them. We’ve got it covered - let AAA Rousse take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal near Ashley often centers on vessels left along Beaucoup Creek after seasons of neglect, with hulls too deteriorated to trailer without professional help. Owners who fish Rend Lake or run the Kaskaskia River sometimes strand boats on rural properties when engines fail, leaving frames that sink in soft ground and require winching crews and heavy equipment to extract safely.
A natural follow on involves boats stored for years beside Washington County Lake that were never re registered and now trigger compliance notices from the state. Owners who once launched at Carlyle Lake frequently store surplus vessels on gravel lots along Capps Landing Road, and when those vessels reach end of life, our team handles dismantling, fiberglass disposal, and liability release from start to finish.
