Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Removing an unwanted boat in Bagdad takes a professional crew to do it right. Old boats frequently have rotten wood, rusted parts, or brittle fiberglass. Professional crews know how to dismantle and dispose of them correctly without injury or contamination, including hulls recovered from Pond Creek. Local restrictions, towing logistics, and disposal regulations can slow down boat removal.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Parting with an old boat in Bagdad isn't always a simple task, especially when launching from Floridatown Park. EPA guidelines for fuel, oil, and hazardous waste must be followed. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Most larger vessels cannot be accepted at landfills unless they are crushed or demolished. Let our AAA Rousse experts handle the entire process.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boats in Bagdad most often need removal after sitting along the Blackwater River for extended seasons, with owners trailering vessels out via Stewart Street to local storage. Waterlogged hulls pulled from riverside lots and deteriorating skiffs found along the mill district waterfront make up the bulk of calls, requiring careful extraction before transport to certified disposal facilities.
Abandoned jon boats and aging pontoons stored near the historic Bagdad Mill Site area are another frequent scenario, especially after storm seasons push debris onto low lying properties. Crews also respond to sunken vessels along the Blackwater River corridor in Santa Rosa County, coordinating with property owners to winch out hulls before waterway access is blocked or environmental concerns escalate.
