Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Removing a worn-out boat in Baraga is rarely quick or simple, especially near Baraga State Park. Rotting hulls fall apart during the removal process. Our crews dismantle masts, clear the boat of gear and electronics, and remove the flybridge if required. Since most landfills can’t take larger boats as they are, they need to be crushed or dismantled first. Our team takes care of this for you safely and responsibly, so the process is simple, stress-free and environmentally sound. No stress, just AAA Rousse.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal calls in this area frequently involve vessels left at the Baraga State Park boat launch or grounded along the shore near the Huron Bay Grade corridor. Owners abandon aging pontoons and aluminum fishing boats after harsh winters cause hull damage beyond repair. Deteriorating docks along the Traverse River also generate removal requests when waterlogged hulls become navigation hazards each spring.
Further inland, storage lots near the Baraga County Fairgrounds fill with forgotten fishing boats and personal watercraft that owners can no longer haul to water. Seasonal camp properties along Fence Lake see similar patterns, with owners surrendering runabouts after years of neglect. AAA Rousse responds to these varied scenarios with the right equipment for remote or difficult access sites common throughout Baraga County.
