Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The process of getting rid of a junk boat in Bowerston near the Harrison Hills Park boat launch is often more challenging than it first appears. Boats partially sunk are extremely difficult to lift, float, and tow. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Larger vessels often require demolition or crushing before they can be disposed of at a landfill. We take care of this step for you, making the entire removal and disposal process smooth and stress-free. AAA Rousse - we do it all, so you don’t have to.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boats in Bowerston are commonly removed after seasonal flooding along Conotton Creek, where rising water can strand vessels on banks far from their original moorings. Owners also request pickups after storms push watercraft into shallow stretches of Bucks Run, making self retrieval impossible. In both situations, Harrison County coordinates with registered removal contractors to haul and store the boat safely.
Trailered boats left too long at the Wolf Run State Park boat launch are another frequent removal scenario, as unpermitted storage violates facility rules and can block access for other boaters. Similarly, abandoned vessels discovered on Senecaville Lake require coordinated retrieval involving both waterway authorities and licensed salvage crews to ensure the waterway stays clear and navigable year round.
