Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Removing an old or damaged boat in Buchtel near Monday Creek requires more than an unskilled workforce. It requires professionals. Boats taking up space in yards or parking lots are difficult to move without damage. Crews use proper trailers and equipment to remove them efficiently. Local restrictions, complicated towing, and strict disposal procedures can hold up the process.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
In Buchtel, boat removal for older vessels along the Hocking River usually isn't quick or easy. Boats left in backyards can be hard to extract without damaging property. The AAA Rousse crew will take down the mast, clear off the gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if we have to, to get the job done. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle all of that on your behalf, so you can relax knowing everything’s being done the right way. We do the hard work and you enjoy the ease.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In Buchtel and the surrounding area, common removal scenarios include jon boats and canoes left along the banks of Federal Creek after seasonal flooding pushes them onto private farmland. Owners sometimes abandon watercraft near Strouds Run State Park when trailers fail or registrations lapse, leaving Athens Athens County officials to coordinate retrieval and proper disposal with state park staff.
Smaller craft such as kayaks and flat bottom skiffs are frequently reported along Lick Run, where high water events carry them downstream and lodge them against culverts or fence lines. Residents near Chauncey often contact authorities when abandoned boats block drainage channels, and our team works quickly to assess ownership, document the vessel, and arrange lawful removal without delay.
