Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
In Carrollton, the process of boat removal can turn out to be unexpectedly difficult. Many marinas or property owners want old boats removed quickly, but the process often takes longer than expected due to weather, time sensitivity, towing restrictions along the Buttahatchee River corridor, and more. Our crews remove masts, strip the boat of its gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if necessary. Larger vessels can’t go to a landfill unless we crush or demolish them. Let the AAA Rousse do all the work for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around Carrollton often starts at the Tombigbee River waterway corridor, where aging vessels become stranded on muddy banks after seasonal flooding. Owners hauling out from the Aliceville Lake public ramp frequently find deteriorating hulls too heavy to trailer without professional help. Neglected pontoons left at the Pickensville Recreation Area boat launch are another common call for our crews.
Storage situations are equally frequent in Pickens County, especially when jon boats and ski boats are left for years in rural lots along County Road 45. Sunken or storm tossed vessels near the Tombigbee Waterway lock areas require specialized rigging before any haul out can begin. Whether a boat is half submerged or simply abandoned on a gravel drive, our team handles the full removal from first call to final disposal.
