Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Removing an old or damaged boat in Charleston requires more than an unskilled workforce. It requires professionals. Boats taking up space in yards or parking lots near Lake Charleston are difficult to move without damage. Crews use proper trailers and equipment to remove them efficiently. Local restrictions, complicated towing, and strict disposal procedures can hold up the process.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
In Charleston, boat removal for older vessels usually isn’t quick or easy. Boats left in backyards along the Embarras River can be hard to extract without damaging property. The AAA Rousse crew will take down the mast, clear off the gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if we have to, to get the job done. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle all of that on your behalf, so you can relax knowing everything’s being done the right way. We do the hard work and you enjoy the ease.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In Charleston, many boat removal calls come from properties along Lake Land College Lake, where vessels are stored near the water after a season of fishing and recreation. Owners on the west side of town near Route 16 often need a crew to pull aging pontoons or jon boats from backyards and driveways when it comes time to sell or scrap.
Another common scenario involves boats left at the Charleston Area Boat Launch following storm damage or mechanical failure, leaving owners unable to move them without professional help. Rigs that sat through a harsh winter on the east side near the Division Street corridor frequently need full removal service, including transport to a licensed salvage or recycling facility.
