Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Removing an old boat in Claridon near Rock Creek often turns out to be more complicated than expected. Boats may contain fuel, oil, and chemicals that must be drained. The AAA Rousse crew will take down the mast, clear off the gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if we have to, to get the job done. The majority of larger vessels are not permitted in landfills unless they undergo crushing or demolition. Trust the AAA Rousse professionals to take care of everything.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around Claridon most often begins at private ponds and the boat launches along Punderson State Park, where aging vessels are left behind when owners stop using them. Sunken or waterlogged hulls pulled from Bass Lake and stored on residential lots are another frequent call, especially after harsh winters leave fiberglass beyond repair.
Many calls come from landowners clearing storage fields near the Headwaters Trail corridor, where old pontoon boats and jon boats have sat for years. Estates settled after a passing also generate removal jobs from barn lots and garage pads near Chardon Road, where families need a complete haul away without the hassle of coordinating multiple contractors.
