Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
What seems like a quick fix, getting rid of an old boat in Colfax, can become complicated. There is always a risk of spills into waterways or streets from fuel while transporting through the Cramer Cove area. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels as-is, we handle the crushing or demolition when needed. Let us do the heavy lifting - AAA Rousse has it handled.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal requests around Daviess County often begin at Pershing State Park, where idle fishing boats and aging aluminum hulls are left near the launch area after seasons of neglect. Owners along the Big Creek drainage also call when flood waters strand vessels in fields or along brushy banks, making a standard trailer pickup impossible without specialized equipment and rigging.
Further out, hulls abandoned near the Trenton Reservoir shoreline require crane assists and careful coordination with landowners before any haul can begin. Deteriorating pontoons left in low lying fields off Route 6 present similar challenges, with soft ground forcing crews to use skid equipment. In each case our team assesses the site, secures the proper paperwork, and completes eco conscious removal.
