Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The process of getting rid of a junk boat in Comptche near Jug Handle Cove is often more challenging than it first appears. Boats partially sunk are extremely difficult to lift, float, and tow. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Larger vessels often require demolition or crushing before they can be disposed of at a landfill. We take care of this step for you, making the entire removal and disposal process smooth and stress-free. AAA Rousse - we do it all, so you don’t have to.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boats are frequently abandoned or left to deteriorate along the Big River and the Albion River, where remote access and tidal conditions make removal especially complex. Owners who launched years ago from the Van Damme State Park boat launch sometimes return to find vessels waterlogged or grounded, requiring professional equipment and coordinated extraction before the hull causes an environmental hazard.
Seasonal flooding along the Navarro River can shift or sink stored vessels overnight, turning a straightforward removal into a full salvage operation. Boats trailered into inland properties off Comptche-Ukiah Road often become immovable once tires rot and frames settle, while vessels left at Albion Harbor moorings may require crane assistance and proper decommissioning before they can legally leave the water.
