Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Convoy residents in Riley Township often discover that old boat disposal is anything but simple. Fiberglass disposal is challenging and limited in facilities. Our crews dismantle masts, clear the boat of gear and electronics, and remove the flybridge if required. Most large boats need to be crushed or dismantled before a landfill will accept them. We’ve got it covered - let AAA Rousse take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Convoy sits near the Auglaize River corridor, and many residents find themselves with boats left stranded after flooding or long winters on the water. Hulls pulled onto private lots along the Chickasaw Creek drainage or left behind at the Paulding County line are among the most common calls we receive. Storage lots off State Route 12 regularly turn up vessels that owners no longer want but cannot easily move on their own.
Seasonal boaters who used the Maumee River tributaries for recreation sometimes abandon aging pontoons or jon boats on rural property when repair costs grow too high. Craft stored near the Tully Township grain fields or left on trailers along County Road 10 account for a steady share of removal requests each year. In these cases our crew handles the full haul from land based locations without requiring a ramp or launch.
