Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Unwanted boats in Dales tend to be more complicated to remove than expected, particularly those left at Lake California Marina. Specialized cranes or barges may be required. Our team takes down the mast, removes the boat’s equipment and electronics, and cuts off the flybridge if needed. Since most landfills can’t take larger boats as they are, they need to be crushed or dismantled first. Don’t worry - our team takes care of that for you, making the whole process simple and stress-free. Relax - we’ve got it handled.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Many boat removal calls in this area involve vessels that have sat for years along Lake California, where seasonal water level changes leave hulls grounded or partially submerged. The Lake California Marina sees frequent requests to clear aging pontoons and motorboats from slips after owners relocate or pass on. Deteriorating docks and shifting shorelines make these recoveries technically demanding and time sensitive.
Inland removals are also common, especially for boats stored on private land near South Fork Cottonwood Creek or pulled from the water after flood events along the Sacramento River corridor. Dales crews often respond to trailers that have seized up on unpaved ranch roads, requiring specialized rigging to free and load the vessel safely. Each scenario calls for equipment and experience suited to remote, rural access conditions.
