Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
What seems like a quick fix, getting rid of an old boat in Daviston, can become complicated. There is always a risk of spills into waterways or streets from fuel while transporting. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels as-is, we handle the crushing or demolition when needed. Let us do the heavy lifting - AAA Rousse has it handled.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Lake Martin draws boaters from across the region, and aging or storm damaged vessels left at Kowaliga Marina or along the coves near Wind Creek State Park are among the most common removal calls we receive. Owners find themselves with waterlogged hulls that have sat untouched for seasons, making professional extraction the only practical path forward.
Along the Tallapoosa River and the quieter reaches of Hillabee Creek, flat bottom boats and jon boats are often abandoned after flooding or engine failure. Near Horseshoe Bend, land based storage situations also arise when trailers fail and owners can no longer move a vessel on their own, turning what seemed like a temporary spot into a long term removal project.
