Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal

Removing an old boat in Days Creek near the South Umpqua Boat Ramp often turns out to be more complicated than expected. Boats may contain fuel, oil, and chemicals that must be drained. The AAA Rousse crew will take down the mast, clear off the gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if we have to, to get the job done. The majority of larger vessels are not permitted in landfills unless they undergo crushing or demolition. Trust the AAA Rousse professionals to take care of everything.

Common Boat Removal Scenarios

Boat removals in this stretch of Douglas County often start with vessels left on private land along the South Fork Umpqua corridor or beached near the Myrtle Creek Boat Ramp after seasonal flooding. Owners also call when aging aluminum fishing boats are abandoned at the Stanton Park area, where limited access makes standard towing impossible and specialty rigging becomes necessary.

A second common scenario involves sunken or partially submerged hulls pulled from the North Umpqua River or dragged off muddy banks near Susan Creek Campground, where seasonal high water leaves craft stranded far from any paved road. Our crews coordinate with local landowners and use track equipment to recover these vessels without damaging the surrounding riparian habitat.

Prompt, came out same day within a few hours of calling them. They were very careful while moving the junk. Friendly. Takes all forms of payment. I plan on calling them again. Mark and Christina came the next trip to remove more junk. They were very professional, quick, worked hard, and even swept the mess left from the junk on the garage floor.

This company is excellent! Removing this old 18 ft motor home was not an easy task. It had been sitting in the same spot for 26 years so needless to say it was literally falling apart and imbedded in the ground. The 2 men who removed it were so patient and professional taking care not to tear up the yard while doing so, not to mention it was one of our hottest days. They deserve 10 stars or more in my book!

The team did a wonderful job clearing out 2 of our office suites. Both suites contained about 40+ cubicles, 11 executives offices, at 3 conference rooms. It took about a week to get everything out of there but they were fair and always updated me throughout the day. They also sent pictures to make sure I knew they were filling the trailer up (they charge by the load).
