Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The process of getting rid of a junk boat in Donalds along Long Cane Creek is often more challenging than it first appears. Boats partially sunk are extremely difficult to lift, float, and tow. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Larger vessels often require demolition or crushing before they can be disposed of at a landfill. We take care of this step for you, making the entire removal and disposal process smooth and stress-free. AAA Rousse - we do it all, so you don’t have to.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In and around Donalds, many boat removal calls come from owners with vessels left too long at Calhoun Falls State Park Marina or stranded along the banks of the Savannah River arm near the SC 72 corridor. Storm damage, failed engines, and expired registrations leave pontoons and jon boats sitting for seasons until removal becomes urgent. Our crews handle these recoveries regularly.
Seasonal drawdowns at Hartwell Lake and the creeks feeding into the Saluda River system expose sunken hulls and forgotten vessels on mudflats each year. Landowners near Bordeaux Landing and rural properties off SC 184 also call us when inherited or abandoned boats block access or violate county ordinances. We assess, recover, and dispose of every vessel responsibly.
