Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Disposing of an old boat in Dungannon isn’t as simple as it sounds. Permits may be required for towing or dismantling certain boats. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Large boats often need to be destroyed before a landfill will take them. The AAA Rousse team will take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal near Dungannon often involves vessels left on the banks of the Clinch River after seasonal flooding or storm damage. Owners with aluminum fishing boats stored near Bark Camp Lake frequently call when a hull becomes too deteriorated to trailer out safely. The terrain around the Guest River Gorge makes some retrievals especially technical, requiring rigging and heavy equipment.
Flatboats and johnboats trailered through the Natural Tunnel State Park corridor sometimes suffer structural damage on rough access roads, leaving owners unable to move them without professional help. Copper Creek sees occasional sunken or grounded vessels after heavy rain events. The Fort Blackmore boat launch area is another common call site, where abandoned hulls are left blocking public ramp access and must be removed quickly.
