Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Removing a worn-out boat in Edmeston, especially one recovered from the Unadilla River, is rarely quick or simple. Rotting hulls fall apart during the removal process. Our crews dismantle masts, clear the boat of gear and electronics, and remove the flybridge if required. Since most landfills can’t take larger boats as they are, they need to be crushed or dismantled first. Our team takes care of this for you safely and responsibly, so the process is simple, stress-free and environmentally sound. No stress, just AAA Rousse.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Residents of Edmeston most often need boat removal after storm events push vessels ashore or sink them along Otego Creek and Schenevas Creek. Seasonal drawdowns leave flat bottomed fishing boats stranded on exposed mudflats, and spring flooding can carry small craft far from their moorings. Our team responds quickly to recover waterlogged hulls before they become navigation hazards or environmental concerns.
Abandoned canoes and aluminum skiffs turn up regularly along the shores of Guilford Lake and the upper reach of the Sangerfield River each fall. Owners sometimes leave aging boats at the end of the season intending to return, then never do. Otsego County regulations require timely removal of derelict watercraft, and our licensed crew handles the full process from assessment and extraction to lawful disposal.
