Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
You might think it’s easy, but removing a boat in Eldred can be tricky. Limited disposal sites are always a problem, especially near the Eldred Public Boat Launch. Our crew dismantles the mast, removes all equipment and electronics from the vessel, and, if necessary, detaches the fly bridge. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels in one piece, some prep work is required. We manage the entire process for you, so your boat is ready for disposal without any hassle. Boat removal made simple.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In Eldred, many boat removal calls come from owners who stored vessels near the Illinois River and let them sit for years until the hull deteriorated beyond repair. Waterfront properties around Sid Simpson State Fish and Wildlife Area often accumulate aging fishing boats and aluminum hulls that have been beached or tied off and simply forgotten, making professional extraction the only practical option.
The Eldred Public Boat Launch sees frequent traffic from anglers who later abandon trailers or leave waterlogged hulls that block access for active boaters. Owners along Nutwood Bottoms also reach out when floodwaters deposit damaged vessels onto low lying land, creating removal challenges that require Greene County compliance, heavy equipment, and a crew experienced in recovering boats from soft or saturated ground.
