Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The process of getting rid of a junk boat in Eldridge near Brushy Lake is often more challenging than it first appears. Boats partially sunk are extremely difficult to lift, float, and tow. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Larger vessels often require demolition or crushing before they can be disposed of at a landfill. We take care of this step for you, making the entire removal and disposal process smooth and stress-free. AAA Rousse - we do it all, so you don’t have to.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Removal needs around Eldridge often involve boats tied up or beached along Lubbub Creek that have been neglected for years and are no longer seaworthy. Others come from Black Warrior River access points where owners let aging pontoons and motorboats sit until they became a hazard. Smith Lake draws many seasonal boaters, and when those vessels reach end of life, our crew steps in to haul them out.
Bankhead Lake sees a steady stream of decommissioned fishing boats and jon boats left in shallow coves or on private shoreline, requiring careful extraction before transport. Along the Sipsey Fork, sunken or half submerged hulls add complexity, demanding lifting equipment and water side staging. At the Carbon Hill boat launch, abandoned trailers and vessels occasionally block public access, and we coordinate with local authorities to clear them quickly.
