Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Boat removal services in Erwin must be carried out by professionals to be done right. Boats with seized engines are heavy and difficult to transport on waters like the Presque Isle River. Professionals use winches, cranes, and tow rigs to remove them safely. Strict local ordinances, difficult towing arrangements, and disposal laws can slow removal efforts.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Erwin boat owners are discovering that boat removal and disposal takes more time and effort than they realized. Shallow waters or sandbars along the Potato River in Erwin can make boat transport very difficult. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Because landfills generally do not take large vessels as-is, extra steps like crushing or dismantling are required. We manage this process from start to finish, ensuring your boat is prepared and accepted without hassle. Stress-free boat removal? Leave it to us.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal calls in this area often involve watercraft left at the Ironwood Township Boat Landing or along the shores of the Ottawa National Forest waterways, where vessels have sat unused for seasons. Deteriorating hulls on Lake Gogebic or the Cisco Chain of Lakes are among the most common jobs we see, with owners overwhelmed by the logistics of extraction and legal disposal.
Many removals involve storm battered pontoons pulled from Bond Falls Flowage or abandoned aluminum fishing boats recovered near Imp Lake, both spots popular with Erwin anglers. In winter, ice damage leaves vessels stranded at the Watersmeet Township launches, requiring specialized equipment to haul out once the ice recedes and roads reopen in spring.
