Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Proper boat removal in Evanston along Lake Michigan can only be done safely with the right marine team and equipment. Inherited boats often come without titles or paperwork. Our boat removers understand how to legally and properly dispose of vessels in these situations. The combination of towing, disposal, and local regulatory issues can cause delays.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Disposing of an aging boat in Evanston along the North Shore Channel often becomes challenging. Lead paint and other toxic materials require special handling. Our crew dismantles the mast, removes all equipment and electronics from the vessel, and, if necessary, detaches the fly bridge. Landfills generally can’t take larger vessels unless they’re first crushed or demolished. Sit back and let the AAA Rousse team handle it all.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removals in Evanston most often begin along the lakefront near Lighthouse Landing, where owners haul trailered vessels off the water after a season of sailing on Lake Michigan. Others stored near the Central Street corridor need a crew to load boats onto flatbed trailers and transport them to a nearby facility. Watercraft ranging from small runabouts to larger cabin cruisers are routinely recovered here.
South Boulevard and the surrounding residential streets also generate frequent calls, as homeowners keep boats in driveways or side yards and need professional loading and transport when selling or disposing of a vessel. Boats that have sat unused for years near the Evanston shoreline sometimes require specialized equipment to remove safely, especially when tires are flat and the trailer has deteriorated from long term outdoor storage.
