Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
You might think it’s easy, but removing a boat in Florence can be tricky. Limited disposal sites, including those near Siuslaw Marina, are always a problem. Our crew dismantles the mast, removes all equipment and electronics from the vessel, and, if necessary, detaches the fly bridge. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels in one piece, some prep work is required. We manage the entire process for you, so your boat is ready for disposal without any hassle. Boat removal made simple.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal requests in Florence often begin when an unregistered vessel is found drifting or grounded along Woahink Lake or Siltcoos Lake. Owners may abandon watercraft after mechanical failure, storm damage, or expired registrations. Lane County coordinates with state agencies to document and recover these boats, prioritizing waterways where derelict vessels pose a navigation or environmental hazard to local residents and wildlife.
Additional removals occur on Cleawox Lake and along the North Fork Siuslaw River, where shallow conditions can trap neglected boats and make standard retrieval methods difficult. In these cases, crews may require specialized equipment or temporary water level adjustments to safely extract vessels. Property owners along these waterways are encouraged to report abandoned boats promptly to prevent further deterioration and costly cleanup efforts.
