Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Floriston sits along the Truckee River corridor, and many removal calls come from boat owners whose vessels have been beached or become waterlogged along its rocky banks. Others contact us after a craft has been abandoned at the Boca Reservoir boat launch, left to deteriorate through freeze and thaw cycles that crack hulls and make independent recovery nearly impossible without professional equipment.
Stampede Reservoir draws boaters from across Nevada County, and end of season often leaves neglected vessels stranded on trailers or embedded in silt near the shoreline. We also respond to calls from property owners along Hirschdale Road whose storage areas hold old pontoons and aluminum fishing boats that have outlasted their usefulness and need lawful, documented disposal before county inspections.
